It’s that time of year again, Call of Duty season! Yes, Treyarch is back in the saddles time around with Call of Duty: Black Ops III, a game that looks less like a realistic war shooter and more like what would happen if cyberpunk and mechs got mixed together into a gun-filled world of explosions and screeching 12-year old teabaggers. It’s launched today, collector’s editions are out, and season passes are being redeemed across all platforms.

But some problems have cropped up on Microsoft’s current-gen machine. It seems that if you bought the Deluxe Edition of Black Ops III for Xbox One, chances are you’ll bump into some problems. These range between not being able to access the two promo maps, Nuk3town and The Giant, and not having the purchased Season Pass register as being bought. MS was very quick to respond, stating on their website, “we want to assure you we’re working to fix this as quickly as possible.”

Aside from the fact that Call of Duty fans are being frustrated, it’s hard not to see this as insult to injury for the Xbox One. On top of these technical issues is the fact that Black Ops III is the first Call of Duty game to have its platform of choice for advance map pack DLC be Sony’s Playstation 4. Thankfully a fix to one of those situations is coming soon.
