For those who can remember, it hasn’t been long since Capcom claimed that Chun-Li’s near-convulsive levels of boob jiggle shown in early footage of Street Fighter V was “just a glitch”. Weather or not that’s true is beyond me, but for now some similarly erotic/uncomfortable content has been cut from the game. This “patch” has mostly just gotten rid of the more obviously gratuitous crotch shots and close ups but it has also apparently removed R. Mika’s original super-ending… magic-jiggle-spank… thing…

You can also check out a full thread on the subject on NeoGAF.

In terms of what’s been removed from the the game, all that’s really been changed is that a few of the camera angles now no longer focus so much on the fighter’s crotches and some of the special moves that could have been viewed as sexual have been removed. I don’t know if this has at all changed the game’s core experience but I’m sure this is going to get the stock, internet reaction of a vocal-minority crying “CENSORSHIP” over the removal of all the sexy-ness. I personally am just disappointed that Capcom is to cowardly to own up to their own boners. To actually fully produce their dumb, horny ideas and then just back out once they realized that the game was not in-fact going to just be viewed by horny, voyeuristic teens, shows such a weird lack of fore-sight.

In all seriousness though, Capcom  probably just realized that the “blast of color and flesh” softcore aspects of Street Fighter is more of a turn off for new customers than really a reward for fans. They probably were thinking that a good majority of their current fans find blatant pandering by way of zooming in on ass and/or vag to be a bit tacky rather than attractive. While there surely are plenty of folks who just adore seeing their screen filled-to-the-brim with tight, jiggly thong shots, I imagine there would be quite a few players out there who’d find the sudden prioritization of poon in their fighting game to be a little out of place, if not off-putting.

Then again I could be wrong, knowing Capcom, they’re probably just planning to sell it all back to us later on as a DLC bundle.
