The classic PS2 platformer adventure game Psychonauts is officially making the leap to PS4 early this year. Originally released in 2005, it will release again sometime this spring.

From the mind of Tim Shaffer, the man behind some of the most celebrated adventure games ever made, including the recent PS+ game Broken Age, as well as January’s current PS+ game Grim Fandango Remastered, Psychonauts follows a young psychic named Razputin. According to the announcement of the release on the PlayStation Blog, Razputin is on a “quest to join an elite group of international psychic secret agents, the Psychonauts! He runs away from the circus and breaks into their secret training facility, Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp.”

What inevitably follows is “a psychic odyssey through a variety of levels set inside the minds of misfits, monsters, and madmen!”

At this year’s PSX it was announced that Psychonauts: In the Rhombus of Ruin would be coming exclusively to PS VR. And if that wasn’t enough, Psychonauts 2 recently reached its Kickstarter goal.
