Sony announced that PlayStation users will get two different exclusive DLC content packs for the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers game that launches in January.
The content packs will be available for both PS4 and PS3 users and will be based off of the Captain America: Civil War and Ant Man movies.
The first content pack entitled the Captain America: Civil War Character Pack will be available when the game releases on January 26th and will feature nine characters from the upcoming film. Those characters are Captain America, Iron Man (Mark 46 armor), Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Crossbones and Agent 13.
The second DLC pack is the Ant-Man Character and Level Pack. This includes a level based on the section of the film and will feature eleven different characters. Those characters are Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Ant-Man (Hank Pym), Ant-Thony (Flying Ant), Cassie Lang, Darren Cross, Scott Lang, Hank Pym, Hope Van Dyne, Luis, The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne), and Yellowjacket. Players can also fly Ant -Thorny the Ant through the main game. The Ant-Man DLC will be available later this spring.
“When I watched the movie with the team, we really enjoyed it,” game designer Arthur Parsons said, “So much so that I went back to watch it again the next day, and then saw the amazing playsets that LEGO created for the film so to now be able to pair those together and bring them to life in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is yet another reason why this game has been an absolute delight to work on.”
Parsons also went on to say that he believes this is their best game yet with “more humor, more characters, more features, more open world gameplay, more abilities, and of course, more movie content exclusively for PlayStation fans.”
LEGO Marvel Avengers launches January 26, 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3Ds, and PC.
