Back in January, it was said that the latest update to Splatoon was the final one planned. Fans of the cartoony shooter had had a few months of new weapons and maps enhancing the game. It was thought to come to an end with the new year, but now a pleasant surprise is upon us.
This week’s Nintendo Direct had some favorable news for Nintendo fans everywhere, not the least of which was new content coming to Splatoon. This week, there will be favorable changes to the Ranked Battle matchmaking system, team assignment, and some untapped weapons. That is not all, however. In the near future, new weapons sets, or “Sheldon’s Picks”, will also be released.
This second update is said to be in two parts, with the first arriving in April. For more details, check out Splatoon’s official website.
