We may be seeing the Xbox One gain virtual reality support, as the feature was given its own listing in the product categories on E3’s official website.

Labeled as “Virtual Reality > Xbox One,” the category was discovered by NeoGAF user “00ich.” A number of companies, including Rebellion, Maximum Games, Readily Information Company, and 3DRudder, have listed that they will be revealing products relating to Xbox VR. Rebellion, Maximum Games, and 3DRudder are all working on VR games at the moment. 3DRudder is also working on virtual reality peripherals. Readily Information Company does not appear to be working on anything VR related, meaning that they may have something to reveal at E3 this year.

The virtual reality reveal follows earlier reports of an upgraded Xbox One, codenamed “Xbox Scorpio.” The upgraded system will supposedly be revealed at E3 this year, and is said to be four times more powerful than the current model. Reports state that Scorpio will release sometime next year. It is also rumored that Microsoft will be releasing a new version of the Xbox One this year that is “40 percent smaller than the current model” sometime this year. We will see if all these rumors are true at this year’s E3 event, which will run June 14-16.
