When Hideo Kojima left Konami last year, many joked that the Metal Gear series would move to Konami’s huge pachinko machine business. And many jokes were made, emailed, and posted. Yet here we are, a year later, with an announcement that the Metal Gear series will soon be entering the pachinko machine world.

The machine will reportedly be based on the title Metal Gear Solid 3, incorporating bosses and scenes from the PlayStation 2 title. No specific details have been revealed about how the machine will incorporate other parts of Metal Gear Solid 3 into its gameplay.

After the Silent Hill series was turned into a pachinko machine, it was only a matter of time before Konami drilled into the Metal Gear Solid series.
