Square Enix has announced that Mobius Final Fantasy will be available on iOS and Android mobile devices on August 3rd.

The games is developed by a team that consists of producer Yoshinori Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima, known for their work on the acclaimed Final Fantasy VII and VII’s upcoming remake.

According to the game’s description, “Mobius Final Fantasy is the story of a man who wakes up in a world called Palamecia with no memory of his past. There, he finds himself tasked with bringing hope to the world by unraveling a mysterious prophecy around the legendary warrior of light.”

The main character Wol can choose to pick from the game’s various classes including warrior, ranger, knight, hunter theif, black mage, and more.

The game’s official website is already taking in preregisters. Fans who preregister will receive Final Fantasy X-themed items, like the Tidus’s signature weapon, Brotherhood, and a Yuna character card along with other special rewards when the game launches. As of today, July 17, the game’s preregisters currently sits just under 100,000 players.

Mobius was initially released June of 2015 in Japan. The free-to-play app, with in-app purchases, won the App Store’s “Best of 2015” award.
