A new patch for Overwatch is in development, and is now available for testing on the PTR.
The latest Overwatch patch is now on the Public Test Region for testing. To participate in the public test, players must have a game license for a Windows PC attached to a Battle.net account in good standing (an account that has not been suspended or banned). The patch includes a Server Browser, which allows players to adjust the settings on various maps, modes, and heroes, creating their own tailor-made server. Also included in the patch is a new game mode, Capture the Flag. There also a number of character adjustments, map balances, and bug fixes. You can read the patch notes for the update here.
Overwatch is in the midst of its Lunar New Year event. During the event, players can earn or buy special Lunar Loot Boxes. These boxes include a number of Lunar New Year themed profile icons, sprays, voice clips, highlight intros, emotes, victory poses, and skins. A new game mode will also be available during the event, Capture the Rooster, which serves as the inspiration for the game’s new Capture the Flag mode.
Overwatch is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Lunar New Year event will go on until February 13th.
