A new story trailer has been released for Torment: Tides of Numenera.
Techland Publishing has released a new story trailer for Torment: Tides of Numenera, giving us a look at the upcoming RPG’s plot. Tides of Numenera takes place a billion years into the future, where a man figures out a way to escape death. In his quest for an everlasting legacy, he discovers an ancient technology, called the Numenera, which allows him to transfer his consciousness into a body of his own design. Thus, he becomes known as the Changing God.
Over time, the Changing God would create new bodies to transfer his consciousness to, hopping from body to body. Instead of rotting away when castoff, these bodies would gain a consciousness, becoming sentient and able to live without having the Changing God within them.
In his bid to escape from death, the Changing God eventually awakens a fearsome beast known as The Sorrow. This guardian of balance then becomes bent on destroying the Changing God and his Castoffs. Players take control of one of the Changing God’s castoff bodies, who is now being hunted by The Sorrow.
Torment: Tides of Numenera will release on February 28th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
