PlayStation has quietly added a wishlist feature to the PlayStation store.

While little is known about the new feature, users are now allowed to add games to their wishlist via the browser-based store with the functionality not yet available on consoles. The list can either be set to private or made available for friends to see.

It is yet to be seen how exactly this new feature will be implemented into the PlayStation ecosystem. Other services, such as Steam, have offered wishlist functions which allow users to add games to their list and then be notified if those games are being offered at a discounted price. If a player chooses to share their list with their friends, users are able to purchase games on the list as a gift for them — a feature which is not yet available on the PlayStation Store.

Sony has not announced when this feature will come to console-versions of the store.
