Back at E3 2012 LucasArts announced Star Wars 1313, a third-person action-adventure game. The game was cancelled in 2013 after Disney closed LucasArts, but there are talks of the game being brought back.

In a recent interview, Kathleen Kennedy, the current president of Lucasfilm, discussed the game with Slash Film. In the interview Kennedy discussed how she agreed that the concept art for 1313 looked stunning and that Lucasfilm is “spending a lot of time” figuring out how to resurrect the game.

“Unbelievable,” Kennedy said of 1313’s concept art. “So our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.”

The game was said to be coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when it was announced, and would feature Boba Fett as the main character. Kennedy’s comments could be taken in any number of ways. The themes of the game could potentially be utilized for other projects, such as the Boba Fett film that will be made in the future.

1313 could also be brought back to life as a game, but everything at this point is just speculation. If the game is brought back from the scrapheap it would have to be done through Electronic Arts who have become the developer for Star Wars games.
