Cities: Skylines, the SimCity like game, was released in March of this year. Since then, it has received high praise all around for expanding upon the city-building genre. It seems those who enjoy the game will not have to wait to much longer to see what’s next for the title.
In an interview with TechRadar, the CEO of Colossal Order, Mariina Hallikainen, stated that she and the rest of the company were happily surprised by the success of Cities: Skylines. Within one month, the title already sold over 1 million copies. What’s even more exciting, Hallikainen stated that news of a big expansion and other content would be announced at Gamescom.
The video game expo, Gamescom, will take place this August in Cologne, Germany. There is much to look forward to at this Gamescom. Hopefully the wait won’t be too long.
