E3 is getting closer, and many studios are getting ready for the upcoming conference. Bungie, however, is jumping the gun and releasing the next big Destiny news a week before the show.
On Thursday, June 9th, Bungie will reveal the “next threat that you’ll confront as Guardians.” The reveal will take place on Bungie’s official Twitch channel. The stream will begin at 10 a.m. PT. In the weekly blogpost, community manager David “Deej” Dague informed gamers that the stream will be the “first glimpse at what awaits you later on this year.”
It is very likely that the upcoming news will be the official reveal of Destiny’s next expansion, which is rumored to be entitled Rise of Iron. Images of a promotional poster for the expansion were released on Reddit, and featured Lord Saladin, the NPC in charge of the Iron Banner event. Rise of Iron was reportedly scheduled to be released in April 2016, but ended up being pushed back.
