Though perhaps not overly exciting for any who have not played as a Mesmer in the past, the trailer simply shows off some of the awesome new moves coming to the profession, with the ‘Chronomancer’ specialization, when the Guild Wars 2 expansion, ‘Heart of Thorns,’ launches later this year. In-game currently, Mesmers don’t have the ability to use shields, the off-hand option being added as part of their new ‘elite specialization,’ a feature ArenaNet detailed just last week.
According to ArenaNet, the Chronomancer Mesmer is a “fabulous time mage,” with “the ability to stop and even revert time,” with what look to be a couple very elaborate, time-themed stuns and knock backs. More and more, the curtain is being pulled back on ‘Heart of Thorns’ as we march on towards the expansion’s inevitable release.
