For years, gamers have held their breath has they awaited news of mythical title The Last Guardian. At this year’s E3, Sony finally gave fans what they wanted.
The Last Guardian was featured at Sony’s E3 conference this year. The company started off their presentation with a small video of gameplay. The gameplay showed the game’s protagonist, a young boy, and his giant bird-like friend Trico. Together, they solve puzzles, and help each other escape a crumbling city. According to CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment American president Shawn Layden the game is all about friendship and companionship.
The Last Guardian has been announced to have a 2016 release date by Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida.
The Last Guardian had begun production in 2007. The game was announced in 2009 as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Over the years, gamers were reminded that the game was still in development, though no real news was ever released.
