A number of things were announced at Square Enix’s E3 conference today. Among those was the news that Final Fantasy VII will be making its way over to iOS.

Square Enix executive Shinji Hashimoto announced that a port of Final Fantasy VII is in the works for iOS. The game is the original PlayStation version, not the remake that is in development for the PlayStation 4.

There is currently no details on pricing or on when we can expect the port. Also, Square Enix has announced that the PlayStation 4 port of the original game has been delayed until this winter.

Final Fantasy VII is not the only game in the series that mobile gamers can play. Square Enix has released a number of ports and original games for mobile, including ports for Final Fantasy I – VI, which are all already available on iOS.
