According to Variety, Michael K. Williams, who is best known for his roles on The Wire and Boardwalk Empire has joined New Regency’s Assassin’s Creed movie and will pay a major role. This same report also said that New Regency and Ubisoft are planning to make at least one additional Assassin’s Creed movie. Sources told the site that William’s character “has a major stake in the franchise” and will have a co-staring role in the sequel.

Neither New Regency nor Ubisoft have confirmed William’s involvement with the movie, but Williams did all but confirm on his twitter account through a series of retweets.

The Assassin’s Creed movie starts shooting in September and should be in theaters around December of 2016. It also stars Marion Cotillard, and will be directed by Macbeth’s Justin Kurzel.
