PlayStation VR may not have a release date set in stone, but PlayStation executive Andrew House told Bloomberg in an interview that the headset will receive a price comparable to “a new gaming platform.”

Sony’s PS4 launched to a price tag of $400 – is this the price range House is talking about? Sony has previously stated they are aiming to keep the VR headset “as low as possibly can be done.”

“VR rewrites the rule book on how you can create games,” House said. “You’re seeing a large amount of interest and work happening among smaller teams, because it’s possible to create something in VR that is very simple but still very magical.”

More than 10 titles will be available for the headset whenever it launches, though specific titles were not revealed by House. Playable titles for the peripheral were at Tokyo Game Show including include RIGS: Machine Combat League, a first person robot shooter and Final Fantasy XIV.

Earlier in the week during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press briefing, it was revealed that the headset’s previous title, Project Morpheus, had now become PlayStation VR.

What price do you think PlayStation VR will be set at? Perhaps more importantly – what are you willing to pay for it?
