As part of their latest earning report, Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has shipped a good number of copies.
Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has shipped over 5 million copies worldwide. This figure also includes digital copies of the game. The game released in the beginning of September.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain’s prologue, has shipped over 1 million copies, bringing the two-game total to at least 6 million copies shipped.
While Konami gave the shipment numbers, the publisher did not mention how many of these shipped copies actually sold. Also, the actual shipment figure may be higher, as Konami is only counting copies shipped through the end of its reporting period on September 30th.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
