For those of you that pre-ordered Fallout 4 and expected to get the free download of Fallout 3, you’re going to get it.  However, this limited time offer has an official shelf of February 6th, meaning after this date, you may not be able to get a free, backwards compatible version of Fallout 3.  This information comes from the product page on the XBox  One’s game store.   The code for Fallout 3 will be delivered via message a week or so after purchase.   It also seems that to get the free download, you’ll have to purchase Fallout 4 on the XBox.  However, later in November, Microsoft will launch a $399 limited edition bundle of an Xbox One, distinctly Fallout themed, that will come with Fallout 4 and 3.

November is turning out to be a big month for Microsoft, with Fallout 4 getting released in 2 days (for PC and PS4 as well), on the 12 with the New Xbox one experience, and tomorrow when they unveil the full list of titles that will be backwards compatible for the One.
