It’s been announced that the recently revealed Gold Mega Man amiibo will be coming exclusively to North American stores. The amiibo, fashioned like the Gold Super Mario amiibo exclusive at Wal-Mart, will come bundled with Mega Man Legacy Collection on the 3DS when it releases on February 23, 2016.
This information comes in the form of a tweet by Capcom UK in response to a question about the golden amiibo’s availability in Europe:

Mega Man fans in Europe need not worry; Capcom has assured that amiibo-unlocked content in the game can still be accessed by way of a regular Mega Man amiibo.
This continues a trend by Nintendo of having region-exclusive amiibos. A R.O.B. amiibo was released in North American and Japan, with each country receiving a different version of the character.
