For some time now, 3D Realms and developer Interceptor have been working on a new action RPG they are calling Bombshell. It was originally slated to be released last November, but had to be delayed to fix some bugs. Now the real day of release is finally upon us.

It has just been confirmed on Steam that Bombshell has now officially gone gold. This means that production is now truly complete and the game is ready to launch. It will be available on PC on January 29th for $34.99. There is a $39.99 deluxe edition, however, that will include the standard game, soundtrack, art book, and access to the Bombshell FPS prequel.

It seems bold for 3D Realms to immediately promise a prequel, when this is their first title to go gold in a decade, but we wish success in the future for them. An Xbox One and PS4 version of Bombshell, being developed by Abstraction Games, should be completed later this year.
