Deep Silver has confirmed the release date for Homefront: The Revolution in its latest trailer “This is Philadelphia.” The game’s official release date is set for May 17th, 2016. While other trailers have showcased fighting from the Red Zone, this one focuses on what life is like in the Yellow Zone.

“Distinct from the war-ravaged wastelands of the Red Zones, and the highly militarized Green Zones,” the developer said, “this densely populated environment offers a unique challenge and gameplay experience to would-be Freedom Fighters.”

“The Yellow Zones are the densely populated areas of Philadelphia, where civilians live in constant fear,” The developer said in a post on the Homefront website, “A mix of Orwellian police state and ghetto slum, the People are kept under the heel of oppression through permanent surveillance, 24-hour propaganda, and an ever-constant military presence. But even here in the Yellow Zone, the Resistance is at work. Hiding in plain sight, blending in with the crowd, and weapons concealed until the last possible moment, the last torch bearers of freedom have vowed to dismantle the KPA infrastructure here piece by bloody piece.”

At Gamescom last August, Deep Silver showed off a six minute gameplay demo which can be seen here. Now that there’s a confirmed release date for Homefront: Revolution, it’s been updated in our 2016 Video Game release schedule.
