It has been nearly five years since the final chapter to the original Gears of War trilogy was released. Since then, there has been a chainsaw Lancer sized hole in our hearts. Thank goodness that hole is being filled and now we know exactly when.
A post by Microsoft on Xbox Wire has confirmed the release date for Gears of War 4 as October 11th, 2016. That still be a ways off, but you can get a taste of the action in the beta that begins on April 18th on Xbox One. Only those who have purchased Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for Xbox One or PC will have access on this date, where other Xbox Gold members will have to wait until April 25th.
