With the official launch of the Fallout 4 Creation Kit, Bethesda is kicking Fallout 4 modding up to a whole new level. Not only can mods now be curated and downloaded in-game on PC, mod support is in the works to launch on Xbox One in May and PS4 in June.

“Mods and the players who create them have always been an important part of our games…” Bethesda says in a post on their website. “We believe that our games become something much more special, when we put the power of creation in your hands.”

Run through Bethesda.net, the new system is built with accessibility in mind. Mods are easy to find, easy download, and just as easy to then rate. All of the new functionality is available either on the website, or right through the game by selecting Mods on the main menu.

For any that wish to use the new Creation Kit, it can be downloaded here. While mod support will come to consoles, the mods must first be made on PC. “We have a lot to do yet, but we hope it changes console gaming the way it has changed PC,” Bethesda says.
