When Dragon Quest meets Minecraft, Square Enix had birthed the newest spin-off spawn for the Dragon Quest series with Dragon Quest Builders. Announced last year, the game would allow you to build and create structures and other forms of creation within the confines of the story. In celebration of the 30th year anniversary for the franchise, it was announced on the PlayStation blog that the spin off will be released in North America on the PS4 and Vita.
Dragon Quest Builders pits a ‘legendary builder’ into a world that descends into darkness because the hero in Dragon Quest 1 succumbed to the dark temptations of the last boss from the game. The game tasks the builder to recreate the world with their imagination and creativity. It was promised that the game would also have a proper RPG story and experience.
Dragon Quest Builders will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita sometime in October for North America.
