Bioware recently held a live stream detailing the future of Star Wars MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic. In the livestream Bioware detailed a new event that pits The Light side against The Dark side in direct fashion.
The event titled simply ‘Dark Side vs. Light Side’ is set to last for a few months and will utilise the games choice mechanic. The total number of light or dark side choices made by players will dictate what rewards they’ll get, one of which is a new companion, so it’s for all to play for.
The companion will be different depending on which side wins, their affiliation is the obvious difference with the companion being light or dark which in turn will affect their personality, their appearance and most importantly their abilities.
The livestream revealed other information as well, including the July subscriber rewards: Hk-55 Victory Stronghold Decoration and Early Access to Chapter XVI. There was also more info on the upcoming chapter XV titled ‘The GEMINI Deception’ which launches with the Dark Side vs. Light Side event on June 28th.
