As more information is coming out about Pokémon Sun and Moon, players are finding out about the newer features involved in the next generation. The latest word on the Pokédex was that it was actually integrated with the Pokémon Rotom, an Electric/Ghost type that can turn into a host of different electrical appliances.

The latest feature for the Pokédex is that the device will be able to locate other Pokémon

“By scanning in special QR code patterns you can register Pokémon of the Alola region to your Pokédex and find out where they live,” the description on Sun and Moon‘s official website reads. “If you scan in the QR code for a Pokémon that you haven’t yet caught, you can check its habitat and search it out.”

While this won’t register that the player has actually caught the Pokémon, the Pokémon’s details will appear in the Pokédex, allowing the player to locate where it might be in-game and capture it that way.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon release on November 18th, 2016, for the 3DS.
