Aksys Games has announced that they will be localizing Tokyo Xanadu, the standalone release of Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs, for the PlayStation Vita. The game will also be released on Steam alongside the Vita version. The company made the announcement at their AnimeExpo panel this year (via TechRaptor), and plans to release the game this fall.

The game debuted in Japan on November 26 as an updated version of Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters with additional content. The news of the localization comes as a surprise to some fans considering that XSEED Games/Marvelous USA are known for localizing titles form Nihon-Falcom, the developers of Tokyo Twilight.

Tokyo Xanadu is an action RPG that takes place in Tokyo after an earthquake has devastated the country, leaving thousands either dead or missing. The game follows high school students Kō and Asuka as they traverse what’s left of their homeland while also exploring the “Xanadu,” a mysterious labyrinth that has connections to the spirit world.

The original Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunter was released in North America and Europe on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on March of 2015.

Aksys also announced that Chase: Cold Case Investigations ~Distant Memories~ would also be getting localized this year as well. The game will release this fall for the 3DS on the Nintendo eShop.
