If you’re hurting for cash and you want to put your old Xbox 360 game collection, if you still have it, to good use, you may be excited to hear that the wacky and charming Far Cry 3 expansion Blood Dragon is now available through backwards compatibility. Major Nelson made the announcement via Twitter.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is a stand-alone expansion that puts the player into the shoes of cyborg soldier Rex Powercolt, a combination of every 80s movie action hero. You make your way through the world of Far Cry 3 but styled in the aesthetics of a 1980s sci-fi action movie rife with terrible one-liners, lasers, cyborgs and dinosaurs. There a currently over 100 plus games available for backwards compatibility, the full list of available titles can be found at the Major Nelson blog.

If there are any titles not available for backwards compatibility that you want to play you can vote and suggest on what games you would like to see on the Xbox website. The current top picks are Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Skyrim and Modern Warfare 2.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon can be bought for $14.99 or £9.99 via the Xbox Store. Far Cry 3 is not required to play Blood Dragon.
