Sony has created a logo that will help players recognize which games will take advantage of the PlayStation 4 Pro’s increased power.
To help players know whether or not a game will benefit from the enhanced power of the PlayStation 4 Pro, Sony has created a new sticker that will appear on games that will be enhanced. The sticker will be placed on the box of physical games, and a small note will be seen on the PlayStation Store for digital games. The sticker, which you can see below, reads “PS4 Pro Enhanced.”
Sony had unveiled the PlayStation 4 Pro earlier this week. Originally known as the Neo, the PS4 Pro will support 4K resolution and High Dynamic Range (HDR). The Pro features an upgraded GPU, boosted clockrate, and a 1TB hard drive. The console is meant to offer an enhanced experience for gamers, but Sony was quick to emphasize that they are working to maintain a single PlayStation community.
Sony has stated that all games, saved data, and captured content currently on any PlayStation 4 will be transferable to the new PS4 Pro. The data between the consoles will be transferred with the use of an ethernet cable. Also, by logging into their PlayStation Network profile on their PS4 Pro, gamers will be able to re-download any games that they have already purchased, as well as download any saved game data that they have in online storage.
The PlayStation 4 Pro will release on November 10th for $399.
