Nintendo released the Sun and Moon demo in Australia last night, and in North America earlier this morning. Like most Pokemon demos, the small story we’re given is a prequel with a new character. The content being released is made specifically for the demo, and will not be included in the full game.

Players who download the demo will get access to the special Ash-Greninja, a Pokemon originally shown in the Pokemon manga and TV show as being a fusion between Ash and his Greninja. The official website explains, “The Battle Bond Ability triggers this Pokémon’s form change to Ash-Greninja after it causes an opponent’s Pokémon to faint. When the battle ends, the Pokémon returns to its original Greninja form. This form is only for battles where it needs to break the limits!”

Whether this leads to that type of Pokemon form, known as Bond Phenomenon, being released with this generation is unknown at this time. However, you can transfer the Battle Bond Greninja to the full game once it’s released and keep it forever, so long as you finish the demo.

Anyone looking to download the demo will need to free up 3055 3DS blocks on their SD card, which is about 381 MB.

Pokemon Sun and Moon release November 18th.
