Everyone that spent their early years with a Legend of Zelda game is bound to have dreamed about actually taking up the Master Sword, defeating Ganondorf, and saving Zelda. It turns out Nintendo knows our darkest dreams, and, in collaboration with an escape room company called SCRAP Entertainment, are bringing us Defenders of the Triforce.

For those who haven’t heard of them, escape games are live-action puzzle games where players are normally put into teams to move through themed rooms and solve riddles to leave.

Legend of Zelda: Defenders of the Triforce is described as “NOT a traditional escape room (i.e. locked inside a room). It is a fully hosted, story-based escape event designed for puzzle fans and fans of the Zelda franchise. There will be multiple teams in the event space all participating at the same time, and each team will have their own table to work at when not exploring.”

This is a carefully planned event, and there isn’t any information on whether or not it’ll happen again. Defenders of the Triforce-specific merchandise will only be available in the last room of the game, not online. SCRAP urges players to not share any of the riddles or answers online, as every iteration of the game is the same, and could spoil the surprises for others.

Currently, almost every West Coast show is sold out, save for the one in Pheonix. Tickets for the East Coast shows go on sale January 3rd.
