Gears of War 4 is celebrating the holidays in style, with a holiday event, Gearsmas, which features 30 new pieces of holiday content, and a new playlist for a custom weapon.
Gearsmas will feature a new event, the Snowball Fight, which centers around the use of a new weapon, the Snowshot, “This icy looking Boomshot that fires Snowballs which, in true Gears fashion, still gibs enemies!”
Gears of War is offering a holiday pack for only 400 credits to players that contains One Bounty, and 2 of the following items from the Gearsmas collection:
- 3 ‘Ugly Gearsmas Armor’ Characters – JD, Kait and Swarm Drone
- 4x Gingerbread Weapon Skins
- 4x Festive Tree Weapon Skins
- 4x Snowman Weapon Skins
- 4x JD Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
- 4x Kait Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
- 4x Swarm Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
- 1 Commemorative Gearsmas Emblem
For Christmas, Crossplay Versus is also back in a Special Event playlist, allowing Windows 10 and Xbox Gears players to form squads together, also allowing for 1.5x the normal xp during the duration of Gearsmas.
The daily rewards system can be used to get 2 new items for Gearsmas, the Chuzzmas Emblem on December 16th, and the Ice Boomshot on December 27th; just log on to receive your free gifts.
Gears of War is available for Xbox One and PC, and Gearsmas will run until January 4th, so jump on the chance to get some limited loot.
