The Nintendo Switch brings with it an air of excitement wherever it is brought up, and it’s looking like certain fans will get a chance to play with it early. Certain My Nintendo users have reported receiving emails requesting them to sign up for tickets to try out the Switch before release, and IGN has confirmed it.
The email reads, “Dear My Nintendo Member, To thank you for being a loyal fan, we’re like to offer you a chance to try the Nintendo Switch System before it’s released. Look for an email from Eventbrite for the full details and be sure to register right away to save your spot (availability of tickets are on a first come, first served basis). Thanks again- and have fun!”
Nintendo explains in an email that the events are being held to give fans of all ages a chance to play with the console before release, and put together impromptu competitions in surprising settings.
Tour locations and dates for the Switch preview event include:
- New York – Jan. 13-15
- Washington, D.C. – Feb. 10-12
- Chicago – Feb. 17-19
- Los Angeles – Feb. 24-26
- San Francisco – March 3-5
No one is quite sure of the criteria for being one of the chosen few, or if there is any, but Gamespresso will keep everyone updated of information as it comes in.
