Overwatch has received an update to its Public Test Region that adds the newest map, Oasis.
Oasis is a new map for the Control game type, and is set in an advanced city in the Arabian Desert. Blizzard provided a description of the map in the PTR patch notes:
“Oasis is one of the world’s most advanced cities, a shining jewel rising from the Arabian Desert. A monument to human ingenuity and invention, researchers and academics from around the region came together to found a city dedicated to scientific progress without restraints. The city and its inhabitants are governed by the Ministries, a collection of brilliant minds who possess many secrets that have attracted the interest of powerful organizations from around the world.”

The new map is just one part of a continuous stream of updates for the game, including giving Symmetra a second ultimate ability and adding a new character and mode. As with all PTR updates, nothing is guaranteed to make the jump from the PTR to the full game, and even if it does it may not remain exactly as it was in the PTR.
