A double XP weekend is coming up for Gears of War 4.

On the Gears of War timeline on Facebook, it was announced that a double XP weekend is coming to the shooter. The weekend will start for all players this weekend, and will be held from Friday January 20th through Sunday January 22nd. Unfortunately, no other details about the double XP weekend were given.

It was also announced that due to server down times this past weekend, Onyx/Gold Swarm pack availability will be extended through Thursday morning. Also being extended is the Developer Playlist for Season Pass owners, including the credit/XP bonuses found in the playlist. This comes after a weekend of server issues from the past weekend.

Finally, it was announced that Credit and Progression rewards that were queued up from this past weekend will be worked on, and will hopefully be rewarded out this week. The Coalition has stated that they are actively working on that now.

Gears of War 4 is available for Windows 10 PCs and the Xbox One. The Gears of War series recently celebrated its 10th anniversary this past November. Two new maps, Blood Drive and Clocktower, were added to the game last week for Season Pass owners.
