For fans of the fighting game genre, or just those who love reading DC comics, Injustice 2 is the most important video game coming out in the near future. With Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios promising a great cast of characters and even stating to go deeper into the DC lore, there has been a lot of speculation over which mighty heroes or villains will be added next. The next revealed fighter may have come from the nearest black lagoon.

With a released video from IGN, it has been announced that Swamp Thing will join the ranks among the other DC fighters in Injustice 2. His move set does a great job of showing off his plant-like abilities, such as growing more vines and branches to shape-shift and even create separate bodies.

Swamp Thing is a creature who fights anyone who wants to hurt the land or disrespect the nature around them. While he is certainly a good example of a lesser known DC hero to throw into Injustice 2, some comments reveal a complaint that with Poison Ivy and him, there are now two plant-based fighters in this game. As long as these two have different move sets, everything should be fine, as these two characters have strong differences in the comics. We look forward to seeing them duke it out in Injustice 2 on May 16th.
