Injustice 2 is all about bringing powerhouses from the DC Universe together to duke it out for their own individual causes. No one said anything about needing a Y chromosome to pack a big punch either. That’s why a new trailer from the official YouTube page of Injustice 2 has released, showing off many of the tough female fighters in the game. This includes some previously unannounced combatants as well.
For the first time in the series, Cheetah will now be a playable character, going up against her arch rival Wonder Woman and anyone else who dares to stand up against her. In a return from Injustice 2, another feline fighter comes in the form of Catwoman. She’ll be back with her razor sharp claws and long cracking whip.
The other two characters featured in the new trailer are the previously revealed Black Canary and Poison Ivy. Perhaps to show that she would indeed be much different than Swamp Thing, we are also shown some of Poison Ivy’s killer gameplay.
So far we have one character from our wishlist knocked off. Let’s hope we have some more announced in the near future. Injustice 2 will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16th.
