We now have an idea of when Phantom Dust HD will release.

On Twitter, Xbox boss Phil Spencer was asked for news on Phantom Dust HD. Spencer then stated that the upcoming re-release “Should ship before E3.” No other details were given. This year’s E3 will take place June 13th-15th, meaning that Phantom Dust HD will release sometime before June.

The original Phantom Dust was released in 2005. The game is a mix between a third-person shooter and card game. Players were able to use a number of skills, with up to four players being able to compete against each other. The title was considered one of the best exclusives on the Xbox. It was announced at E3 2016 that the re-release will use the assets from the original release. Some key parts of the game will be updated, and there will be Xbox Live support for the title’s multiplayer.

Phantom Dust HD will be released later this year for PC and Xbox One. The title will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title, meaning that when the game is bought digitally on the Xbox One or PC, it can be played on the other platform at no extra cost. All progress and achievements will move between platforms.
