Sony’s revealed that they sold 6.4 million PlayStation 4 consoles during their third financial quarter, significantly boosting the company’s profit.
The company’s total profit for the three-month period which ended December 31st last year was impressive, with more than 147 million PS4 games sold versus the previous year’s 128 million PS4 games and 4.5 million PS4 consoles sold during the same quarter.
As a result, sales were up 16.8 percent year-on-year to ¥531.5 billion ($4.4 billion). PS3 console and game sales were down however, with only 1.1 million PS3 units sold.
