Capcom released Dragon’s Dogma in 2012. The developer has announced that the series has sold over 2 million units since then.
Dragon’s Dogma has sold 2.3 million units so far. “The Dragon’s Dogma franchise has become one of Capcom’s successful series,” the developer said in a statement. “Cumulative sales were more than 2.3 million units at the end of June 2015.”
The sales number for the franchise was mentioned in a press release about Dragon’s Dogma Online. The newly released free-to-play RPG had more than 1 million downloads in the game’s first ten days. Capcom mentioned that the early success means the title could become “one of Capcom’s new core titles in its online business.”
Dragon’s Dogma is available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A new version of the first game, Dark Arisen, was released in 2013. Dragon’s Dogma Online is available in Japan for PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. A release in the west has not been confirmed.
