It has been made abundantly clear that when creation is put in the hands of gamers, great things will come. From Minecraft, to Super Mario Maker, to modding in general, some amazing things have come from the people putting in the extra effort at home. Now Halo 5’s Forge is among these great tools, so just look at what this one player made.

Halo 5: Guardian’s Forge is a map making tool that is used to create arena to battle online in, but one user who calls himself Bearskopff has used it to recreate some memorable images from previous games and movies. Most notably is his take on Peach’s Castle from Super Mario 64. This creation beautifully captures the feel of that outdoor opening level of Super Mario 64 from the colors, geometric look, and shape of the trees. Bearskopff spoke about the work himself via a post on Reddit. There he elaborates on his decisions and how Forge’s 1024 object limit forced him to cut back on a few things.

Bearskopff has also made a few Star Wars maps in Halo 5, so check out those as well. He regularly posts on his Imgur page and has promised there is more to come. What would you like to see him make next? Let us know in the comments.
