Fans of Steins;Gate will be happy to hear that the famous visual novel will be making its way to Steam this year. It has been announced that the game is set to release on the PC platform in September of this year. For awhile now, the game has been available on JAST USA, a major licencor and distributor of Japanese games in the United States.
Steins;Gate was developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus and released on October 15, 2009. Since the game was awarded Famitsu magazine’s annual Game of Excellence award and was voted one of the most emotional games around. It has also spawned both a manga and anime adaptation.
Along with the Steam version of the game, online retailer, Rice Digital has announced the Amadeus Edition of Steins;Gate 0. The special edition included a soundtrack with selected music exclusive to the Amadeus Edition, a premium artbook, an exclusive pin badge, as well as Fairy Upa. All of this will come packaged in high quality packaging featuring art from the game. Steins;Gate 0 is a sequel to the original game and fleshes out many of the events of the first game. The Steins;Gate 0 ‘Amadeus Edition’ will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita sometime this year.
