This morning, in a post on the PS Blog, developer Tom Happ, solo-designer of the 2D action-adventure game Axiom Verge, announced his game finally has a release date. Through certification and with review copies being sent out, Axiom Verge will come exclusively to PS4 on March 31 for $19.00.

For those who may not have seen Axiom Verge pop up on their radar’s yet, it is a retro, Metroid-style side-scroller, “but it also gives you power over glitches like those found in classic games, allowing you to scramble enemies, corrupt environments, and enter hidden areas.”

For those looking forward to the Vita version of the game, Happ confirmed it will be cross-buy and added, “people who are mostly interested in the Vita version should not worry. It’s definitely coming.”

To see some of the new power-ups revealed for the game, be sure to check out Happ’s full post. And if you haven’t seen it, Axiom Verge’s original announcement trailer is definitely worth a watch, if nothing else, just to see what he means by “power over glitches.”
