Recently, 2015 title Hotline Miami 2’s soundtrack received a collector’s edition vinyl set from iam8bit . Now, thatgamecompany’s beautiful title Journey will be receiving the same vinyl treatment.
Featuring original art by acclaimed artist Mark Englert, Journey’s soundtrack comes encased in a gatefold jacket featuring an original album cover. The jacket opens up to reveal the soundtrack credits, as well as the ancestor painting from the game (seen below).
As for the disks themselves, the Journey’s soundtrack comes printed on two picture disks. Each disk features unique artwork on both sides. The artwork features the Traveler, with its scarf wrapping around the album’s perimeter, giving the album a hypnotic look as it spins.
Along with the soundtrack, a special edition art print will be released alongside it. It features Journey’s album cover expanded onto a 12″ by 36″ art print that will be limited to 350 prints. The print features specialty inks, including pearlescent metallics, giving the artwork a shimmery effect that catches the light. Each print comes numbered and signed.
