CD Projekt Red could possibly face up to a penalty of $1.3 million dollars (which is their total net income from last year) because they improperly disclosed sales figures of The Witcher 3 to the public.

According to Polish law, the disclosed figures must first be published in the ESPI system so that investors can keep track of company reports.

CD Projekt Red defends itself by saying the disclosure as was marketing which conflicts with the Polish law and forbids them from posting it as a financial report.

The company is currently under investigation by the Polish Financial Conduct Authority.

How do you feel about the possible fine? Do you feel like it might be a bit much for a screw up like this? Let us know in the comments below.
