PlayStation 20th Anniversary DualShock 4 arrives in September

Time to play games like it’s 1995 again.

A standalone version of the 20th Anniversary edition of the DualShock 4 will be released in September in Europe according to PlayStation Europe as reported by GameSpot. No announcement has been made in North America, but Amazon currently has it listed with a release date of September 30, 2015, alongside a price of $64.99

The controller has the same shade of gray as the original PlayStation console, almost identical to the one released late last year as part of the 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 console. One difference separating it from the ones included in the anniversary console is that the touchpad will contain it’s normal small dots, as opposed to the PlayStation shapes that covered it in when packaged in with the system. However, the PlayStation button in the center still contains the classic color of the PlayStation logo.

Only 12,300 of the anniversary consoles were produced, each individually numbered, so most players assumed they would never get their hands on this retro-looking controller, especially after the number of systems sold out in minutes (and their eBay listings skyrocketed).

Check out pictures of the controller above, and let us know below if you’ll be getting one – in the meantime, break out the Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, and more classic PS1 games until September rolls around to celebrate.
