PlayStation 4 is getting a major software update soon – and you can be one of the first to try it out.

Sony announced via a post on the PlayStation blog that the company is preparing to roll out a new software update for the PlayStation 4 console soon, and are reaching out for gamers just like you to test it and report feedback.

Those looking to be one of the first to test out this new software update, can do so right here. Those who sign up to participate must own a PlayStation 4, have an internet connection, and be owner of a master account on the PlayStation network (sorry sub-account owners).

The post also suggests those interested in testing the software should be members of the PlayStation forums now in order to gain access to the beta forums when it begins in early September.

No details regarding what features will be included in the software update were included in the post, only mentioning that a limited number of beta testers will be accepted – so be sure to sign up as soon as possible. More details about the update will be given to those accepted when it begins in a few short weeks.

In the meantime, we can speculate what will be included in the newest PlayStation 4 update. Give us all of your thoughts below.
